My favorite points:

They view us as human capital, we are laborers and it's a master servant relationship

We want freedom to work wards your own goals not your employers. We want freedom to live.

Security/Freedom are not mutually exclusive--why do you think that they call prison "maximum security". You have no freedom but you are absolutely secure--food, water, shelter every single day.

Screw paying our dues. Let's do it.

Finished reading the manifesto (and digesting Jonathan's blog found via twitter, in turn via the manifesto) and just wanted to drop you guys a line to say "thank you." Thanks for, essentially, putting everything I've ever thought about conventional work into one clever and easy to read package that I can send on to others. Thanks for posting your collective heart and soul on your blog. I've "saved for later" a crapload of posts in my RSS reader -- I might have to start my own blog so I can fully digest and respond to the firestorm of thoughts they're setting off in me. Jonathan's blog in particular seems like the "last straw" in terms of telling the gods about what you really want. I really appreciate that and I'm grateful to finally feel some shred of inspiration after a very long time doing the needful. As a previous commenter pointed out, doing the needful is no longer enough anymore, for any variety of reasons.

I myself am on a journey to create my own "freedom biz" and am always on the lookout for hype-free, crap-free information and inspiration. I'm heartened by blogs like yours and by endeavors like Project Mojave. I'm really looking forward to seeing what the future has in store for all of us.

Thanks again for all you're doing.

I'm on board. This is a great project, something I think millions of people all across the continent have been contemplating for decades but we need support and a blueprint. Most people just don't know how, don't have the courage, or give up out of frustration, criticism or doubt. I feel as if your declaration of this movement/revolution is a precursor to my thoughts over the last 15 years. I remember back when I was waitressing buying a book called "how to survive in the wilderness." I'm not kidding, for years I've been living in misery, feeling trapped by pouring my energies into corporations and literally standing at attention at the desks of old white despotic men. Recently (just before your project launched actually) I left LA and quit my corporate job of 4 years to start my own graphics freelance business. I moved to Portland. Your project makes me feel like I am not crazy. Makes me feel included and more importantly, gives me the recourses and human connections I need with like minded people.

I think #7 under "7 things you can do right now" speaks to me the most, because for the longest time I struggled with the practical side of myself telling me that my passions were silly or ridiculous. But no more! I have been pursuing what I love by getting myself educated about them, and being willing to step out and take a chance telling some key people about it. So far so good. If I meet someone who tells me I'm being ridiculous, so be it.

Thank you for kicking my ass! I needed this today! (or 4 years ago actually, but who am I to quibble over the exact number of days). This is fabulous. There are a few lines in here that I am going to put on a post it and tape to my mirror when I think I need to choose a cube over freedom.

Jonathan!

Thanks for the ass-kicking! I so needed to read this right now. I look forward to being a part of this, and getting my life back on track. I can't wait to read more! Let me know if I can do anything to help you bring this into reality.

Holy Crap! Are you living in my head? I just read the manifesto and Hallelujah! someone else thinks like I do. Thank you so much for everything you've written and done so far, its truly inspirational. And like Money Energy above, I can feel the critical mass approaching and its time for a change in the weather. Just the idea that the conventional rules of play are changing is amazing - how exciting to be a part of it. Congrats on leading the charge. Can't wait to see what's next and how I can get involved

Thanks again, Jonathan and Clay! You guys rock!
