All we have is people writing in books or talking in video clips online about their successes. No real proof there. Even bank statements can be faked. So how *does* one prove your success? I guess that leads us to your suggestion: the learn-by-example way of building a business. If that doesn't work; well, then we know you are full of it :D. Or just suffered bad execution. Who knows. Don't know why you have to ask people whether you should do it or not, you have basically given all the right reasons why it would be a good idea to do it. So please do it.
