Oh I'm totally with you, and understand completely. Sure it can be nervous to suggest it. It's the ballsiest thing, it's insane, it's out there. It's anything-can-happen-and-usually-does :)

Phrasing it in the way that trusting can be the best action and also the opposite is an action as well, I think is a really good way to communicate it. Nothing comes from nothing.

Thanks again man. Love it.

I swear, it has proven true to me over and over and over again. And not from some lofty perspective, but from being in the trenches, behind the 8-ball, insert other cliches here. Each time, I'll just keep pushing on with trust, and each time it works out. It's the kind of thing I'm nervous suggesting to people sometimes because... what if it doesn't work? But the truth is that the opposite is often action too, and it's in a far worse direction. And if the opposite isn't action, it's just plain old inaction. And strangely enough, when you do nothing, nothing tends to happen. Things kind of remain the same or get worse.

Correct. I think that positive thinking by itself is a good thing (better than negativity, anyway), but it kind of goes nowhere. You're like, "This sucks, but it'll get better"... and then you kind of sit there in your positivity. But if you forge on anyway? Then yes, it's like you're leaping and trusting that the net will appear.

Here's a bit more, from my own blog: http://johnnybtruant.com/what-faith-has-to-do-w...

This post seems amazingly abundant, and spot on with reality.

There's something more to what you're saying then mere "positive thinking". It's trust. And life without trust, to me at least, isn't a life at all.

And I feel you agree :)

I'm late to the party, but I gotta say, I've applied this principle more than anyone I know, period, and it's resulted in me finding a place to live "on the last day" 3 times. It's resulted in me considering selling everything I own to support my passion, and being saved at the last minute. It's resulted in almost everyone who used to compliment me and call me a genius treating me like I'm not even worth talking to or asking about, and as I 'believed' through it, the faithful "There Is No Spoon" principle brought their inevitable return. BAM.

Fantastic article, well-said, high-value, I can't even imagine how many people practically NEED to hear stuff like this, it's what my whole life is devoted to. Keep rockin' Johnny (and Clay, and all you Mojave crew) :D

Disagree that successful people are not normal. Contrary, they are most normal people with vision and strength to achieve this. We may talk about this a lot, that is only sure.
